Our History
Rho Chi is a national pharmacy honor society that recognizes academic excellence displayed by students of pharmacy. Eligible members must be a PharmD student in the upper 20 percent of his or her graduating class at the completion of at least half the didactic program leading to a degree in pharmacy.
As the academic honor society in pharmacy, the Rho Chi Society:

Encourages and recognizes intellectual achievement

Stimulates critical inquiry to advance pharmacy

Contributes to the development of intellectual leaders

Promotes highest ethical standards

Fosters collaboration
The Rho Chi Society Constitution was first drafted in 1912. The Alpha Kappa Chapter was chartered at the University of Georgia in 1949.
